Flash Animation for the Web
What is flash?
Flash is an animation tool specifically used to create website animations, interactive buttons and CD presentations. The main function of flash website animation is to attract attention to a companies products/services or emphasis a company brand or slogan. An eyecatching animation that is not memorable and does not leave viewers with a message has not performed any useful function. It is also important to us that the website flash animation looks like part of the current site structure and that it does not have the "added on" feeling.

Macromedia Flash is a wonderful auxiliary tool to add animation and visual interest to a site. Common uses of flash animation added onto a static page.

Full Flash Website
A full flash website can contain animated elements that far outweigh the visual impact of static page. Flash is all about the show and creating impact, not necessarily about browser friendly features. Search engines (such as Google) cannot read Flash commands and cannot properly follow Flash navigation and links. When developing a full flash website we strongly recommend building a static counterpart with Search Engine friendly features in order to have both :
- a flash website to create a stunning visual impression amongst viewers.
- a static, content-based website that aims to pull in online traffic via Search Engines
... all at one location.
The good news is that a full flash website can often be adapted at a minimal cost to double as a cd presentation. |
