What is a freelance opportunity?

At times we make use of freelance designers and programmers when we experience a work overflow and then offer tenders to freelance personnel.  These tenders are applied for online where a briefing and monetary value of the project is highlighted.  The following procedure applies:

How do you tender for a project?

• You register with Grey Pebbles as a freelancer using the form below.
• We will mail you whenever a project is available so that you can view the details and assess its suitability to you.
• You will then receive a link and password, into which you can log-in to view the tender project available.
• The requirements and description of the tender project will be supplied and you will be requested to submit details and ideas of how you want to approach the project as required.  These will be evaluated against others to choose the best solution presented.
• The tender is a process in which you provide an idea of how you will approach that project for our evaluation thereof. In no case will we or shall we, use any material without a signed contract from you and in no case will we use material which has not been paid for.  Your ideas remain your ideas, your material remains your material until signed and paid for.
• Depending on the client’s decision, one of the tender applications will be accepted.
• All tendering freelancers will be notified of which application was accepted and why.

Payment

• Grey Pebbles will pay the agreed to fee in full on receipt of the final work.
• When the project is issued to you, a contract binding both parties to the tender will be faxed for your signature and return thus protecting both parties in full.
• Payment is either through: direct bank transfer, money wire, internet payment gateway e.g. Paypal or mailed cheque.

Other details

• It is to be noted that client details will not be made available to you until the tender is signed for.
• Companies using our system to gain information will be blacklisted in business community sites and publications.
• Grey Pebbles only wishes to attract the attention of freelancers interested in working with an ethical and sound company due to the wish of dealing with the same people.
• Timelines and similar requirements will be non-negotiable and will be as per contract.  Not meeting tender requirements or timelines will disqualify you from further interaction with Grey Pebbles.
