Technical Support (Market Related Salary at Grey Pebbles Web, Graphic Design and Hosting)
Position in the Information Technology and Graphic Design sector offered in the Technical Support Department at Grey Pebbles Design Studio in Pretoria, South Africa (Gauteng).
We are looking for an ambitious junior Technical Support Assistant. This is a core hours position. We offer a competitive salary and a pleasant working environment with an employee improvement benefit which sees you benefit from constant learning programmes.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Presentable

- Able to work alone
- Able to work without supervision
- Able to work in a group
- Must be able to follow requirements
- Must be on time (punctual)
- Be able to meet timelines
- Be able to work under pressure when required to reach objectives
- A good sense of humour will be required in our environment
5 references are preferable: previous employment, headmaster, two friends, corporate/ work
The candidates will be expected to carry out the following tasks amongst others:
- General Technical Support to clients
- Handling of and set-up of Databases
- Handling of our Servers
- Handling of C-panels
- Setting up of mails and mail support to clients
- Computer and computer equipment maintenance and support
- Software support, installation and upkeep
- Network upkeep and maintenance
- Virus scans and removals
- Backup scheduling and execution
- Hardware support
- Technical call handling
- Onsite support to clients
Prerequisite Skills
Apart from the skills and knowledge required for the duties above:
- Matric with English (read, speak, write)
- Telephone skills and etiquette
- Windows and office skills
